Supplee’s collection expands on the years of her life spent in the Grand Canyon. Picking up where her first book left off, this compilation exemplifies her work in the canyon from 2006-2015. It dives deeper into her relationship with the canyon, offering an intimate look into her artistic process. Each oil painting is paired with the original drawing and Supplee’s commentary that illuminates her own personal experience, as well as offering the history and geology that is so important to the canyon.
The book is divided into four separate chapters: Hangin’ on the Rim, Love a River Trip, Trail Travel, and Phantom Ranch. These chapters take the reader on an adventure from rim to river, and by Supplee’s hand experience the magic and awe.
