Canyonlands art is from the area around my home in Moab.
I have rowed my boat on the Green River through Desolation Canyon in Utah many times. I brought my paper and my watercolors with me to paint the Desolation series.
During river trips on the Colorado and my annual trip to Phantom Ranch at the bottom of Grand Canyon comes my inspiration for the Grand Canyon series.
I also love to paint flowers and nature that is not specific to canyons.

Note: Most watercolors are matted and framed, however there are two categories of unframed watercolors. These oils are stretched on framework with a 1 1/2 " depth and they are unframed.

It can be viewed at the Lodge at Phantom Ranch in the bottom of the Grand Canyon If you have visited Serena's in Moab, you will have a hard time imagining how Serena was able to work on this painting in her studio which does not have a 9' wall! |
